Chloe Hudspeth - Retreat Founder

​

Hi, I’m Chloe – founder of Cbalance Retreats. My journey into the world of health and wellness began nearly 10 years ago when I qualified as a Massage Therapist after two years of study in my hometown of Oxford. I began my career in the French Alps, working in Méribel as a massage therapist before moving to London, where I spent the next four years expanding my skills and deepening my passion for fitness and wellbeing.

During my time in London, I experienced my own personal transformation. After years of yo-yo dieting and inconsistent exercise routines, I finally found a sustainable approach to fitness and nutrition that worked for me. With the help of a personal trainer, I began to understand what balance truly means – and how powerful it is when you align your lifestyle with your body’s individual needs.

Wanting to share what I’d learned, I studied for my Level 3 Personal Training Diploma at TrainFitness – one of London’s top personal training schools – gaining qualifications accredited by ASCM, CIMSPA, and REPs.

In 2016, I joined a leading fitness retreat where I spent six wonderful years – three of them in a management role. Now with 9 years of experience working within retreats, I’ve been fortunate to learn from hundreds of clients, gaining insight into what really works when it comes to sustainable wellness. It was through this experience that the vision for Cbalance Retreats was born.

At Cbalance Retreats, our mission is to help you discover your own version of balance. This isn’t about quick fixes or strict regimes – it’s about finding a way of living that supports you, both physically and mentally.

Lizzie Payne- Health & Fitness Coach 

​

Hi, I'm Lizzie – a passionate Health & Fitness Coach with a background in dance and acting. I began my journey in the performing arts, graduating with a Level 5 HND in Dance from Liberatus Dance in Swindon, followed by a BA (Hons) in Acting from the Central School of Speech and Drama in London. My career led me to teaching Drama and Dance to children and young adults, where I discovered my love for helping others grow in confidence and strength.

Fitness has always been a huge part of my life, so it was a natural step to qualify as a Level 3 Personal Trainer and, most recently, complete my Yoga Teacher Training in Bali. These experiences have allowed me to combine my passions for movement, wellbeing, and performance in a way that empowers others.

​

I absolutely love seeing clients transform—not just physically, but mentally—as they begin to understand what their bodies are capable of and embrace a healthier, more balanced lifestyle. Whether it’s a high-energy HIIT session or working on mobility and flexibility through stretching, I’m all about helping people feel strong and confident in their own skin.

I’ve been working alongside Chloe for the past 5 years, helping her run retreats, and it’s been an incredibly rewarding experience. I can’t wait to meet you and help you on your journey to strength, balance, and confidence.

Ian Hudspeth – Host, Chauffeur & Head of Maintenance​

Hi, I'm Ian. If you’ve been on a Cbalance Retreat before, chances are we’ve already met! I’m always around to lend a hand—whether it’s giving lifts to and from the station, washing up, or making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

I’ve recently been through my own health and weight loss journey following a cancer diagnosis. I'm now proud to say I’m cancer-free and 20kg lighter. That experience has completely changed my outlook on life, and I approach each day with more appreciation and positivity.

​

While I don’t come from a fitness background, I love being part of the retreats and seeing how they bring people together. You’ll often find me floating around, usually singing along to Wham, and occasionally jumping into a BoxFit class—that’s my favourite!

I look forward to welcoming you and helping make your retreat experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
